Announced in a 1989 Carolco line-up brochure (which also had two-page adverts for projects RAMBO IV, RED HEAT II, two Stallone / Friedkin titles THE EXECUTIONER and GANGSTER...)

Another great find Jox! I heard about most of those over the years, like for example, how there was a version of fourth Rambo film titled RAMBO 4: THE BLACK FOREST, which Sly was working on between 1988 and 1992. If i'm not mistaken (going from what i heard and read in old interviews and articles), this version would take place in Amazon rain forest, and would involve Rambo working with some environment group, and battling eco-terrorists...(?) Unfortunately there are no more details about it anywhere. It's funny, even though there were probably close to dozens of rejected/unproduced Rambo 4 scripts written between late 80's and mid 2000's, i know only two were found, both from 2004 or 2005; RAMBO 4: HOMEFRONT by Stallone, and RAMBO 4: BORDERLINE by Dan Gordon.

I'm curious about something though Jox. Besides the titles, is there anything else about THE EXECUTIONER and RED HEAT 2 in that brochure, like people involved, writers etc... I do know how THE EXECUTIONER was going to co-star Cynthia Rothrock, who would play Sly's "cool headed partner", while he would be more of a "wildcard", as she said. And how some of the writers who wrote different versions of the script included Hilary Henkin (ROAD HOUSE), Edward Neumeier and Michael Miner (ROBOCOP), and Stallone too, but apparently Friedkin didn't liked any of the scripts, and also had other creative differences with Sly and Joel Silver, which is why he quit and the film never got made.

And speaking of that project, check this out;

But RED HEAT 2?! What the hell, that's one i never even heard was planned at some point!

Note about that second picture; Funny to see DUKE & FLUFFY listed in it, it reminded me once again on that film and just how crazy it would have been. For those of you reading this who never heard of it, it was a comedy which was in development in late 80's and early 90's, about dog and a cat who turn into humans (due to some machine or something), and have to put their differences aside to rescue their owners. It was originally going to star Schwarzenegger and Bette Middler, but then later it was changed and it would star Schwarzenegger and Stallone, who i think few years ago even joked about this project in some interview.

It's all in here:

Regarding RED HEAT II, my suspicion is that thy didn't even have a script when they put that ad together, and they likely didn't have any word from Arnold at this point, hence why is name would be missing (and about a year later he and Carolco would be making T2)...

The basic head sculpt is alright, but the ones for smiling and grimacing are pretty rough. Way off.
