8 different versions - how is that possible?
In the Warner Master, an iconic scene was zoomed in heavily because equipment was visible in the picture. Eight different versions were put on the discs using seamless branching.
Seamless branching is a process that makes it possible to place several edited versions of a film on a DVD or Blu-ray disc in a space-saving manner. Not all versions are individually on the disc in their entirety, but rather the main part common to all of these versions and the scenes that differ from each other. During playback, the playback device switches seamlessly within these "branched" data paths and merges them "seamlessly" into the selected cut version.

And are any of the transfers as good as the Warner Archive version?
